The Great Stone Road

The Great Stone Road runs from Felhold in the east to Stoneport at the western coast. Along the entire length of the road, it maintains a firm, slightly arched, smooth stone surface that is 20 feet wide, easily allowing for carts to pass both ways when they meet. The road is the most significant trade route in the area, with settlements dotted along its length providing large inns and services for trade to the caravans that travel along it. The road also attracts other travelers, looking to prosper in other towns, or to reach the sea in order to find work as a sailor. It's also known to attract bandits every now and then, which keep caravan guards employed and also gives Lord Felson's men additional duties for patrolling the road to deal with particularly troublesome bands.

Although the road is old, there are no records of repair work needing to be done upon the surface – at most, clearing the surface of fallen trees after a storm – or of the road ever being flooded.
